Northumberland County Show

If you’re looking for a great day out this May Bank Holiday then get yourself down to the Northumberland County Show where there is loads of fun to be had.

This event is a great way for the regions thriving local food and drink sector to promote their produce and give you a chance to put a face to the incredible taste of Northumberland.

With so much to see and do at the Northumberland County show there will be numbers of around 25,000 coming to appreciate this wonderful day out.

What’s on?

When you come to the Northumberland County Show you will be amazed at the amount of activities going on around you and it’s the perfect occasion for you and the family to get stuck in and enjoy yourselves.

There will be a plethora of stalls on offer which will be offering face painting, games, and some of the most delicious and fresh food you will ever taste.

Animals & wildlife

northumberland-county-show-animalsThere will be a Shetland Pony Grand National which is set to be very amusing. The children jockeys will amaze you as they race for the finish line on their respective ponies.

The wildlife will also be something that the whole family can enjoy with cattle, show jumping, a range of birds including eagles, and pigs which are new to the festival this year.

The wonderful Kirkley Hall Zoo will be bringing a few of its residents as well which gives you the chance to get learn about and get personal with snakes, lizards and some exotic mammals.

If you fancy taking your own pets to this delightful event then you also have the opportunity to enter “Dog Agility” or the “Kennel Club Dog Show”.

Music, Food & More

There will be some brilliant live music throughout the day which will cater the needs of most who attend which gives you something to look forward to.

If food is your passion then there is no better place to be this Bank Holiday than the Journal taste marquee which will be home to some incredible chefs and some scrumptious foods.

If you think your macho enough why not enter the wrestling competition or join a tug of war team to show off in front of friends and family.

There will also be a 360 stunt team that will amaze the crowds with their incredible tricks, not to be tried at home. See them leap over tractors on quadbikes and motorbikes as well as doing some pretty awesome freestyle BMXing.
