Bellingham Show & Country Festival

The summer holidays are drawing to an end but if you want one more family adventure before the dreaded first day back at school then we have the perfect idea for you. Come to Northumberland for the amazing Bellingham Show and Country Festival. You can have a wonderful country day out and experience some beautiful scenery and exciting activities. This is a great day out for the whole family so don’t miss out. The festival is taking place on Saturday 29th August so treat the family to one last summer adventure and head over to Northumberland.

What’s on

The Bellingham Show has an array of different activities that you and the family can be part of such as traditional games, archery, fairground rides and many more cool surprises. The kids can test their strength as they learn how to wrestle or take part in the archery competition and become Robin Hood.

There is also some clay pigeon shooting for those who want a real country life experience. Oh and don’t forget to check out the classic cars on show here which will blow your mind. Feel free to bring your own if you think it would turn some heads.

We know that holidays can be a tough time for some families who have to leave their dogs behind but this short getaway solves this difficult problem. Here at Warkworth House Hotel we welcome your four-legged-friends to stay with you and at the Country Festival they will be more than welcome. You can even enter your family pet into the dog show to see if they can win one of many prizes.

If you love animals then you will fit right in at this festival because there is plenty hanging around. There are competitions for dogs, horses and sheep which are all available to observe if you can’t fit your horse in the suitcase and you may even be able to have a ride of some of the horses at the festival.

Dad will be very happy to know that there are plenty of beer tents with some delicious beverages on offer and there is no chance you could go hungry because the food is incredible and there is so much of it.

After you’ve explored the festival I’d recommend that you grab a drink and relax whilst watching one of the amazing live bands that are performing this year. There is an array of talent to be seen at this festival and the location makes it even more special so make some room in your busy schedule and get yourself down for a fantastic day of fun.

Something that may pique the interest of the kids is the international stunt team that will be setting themselves on fire and showing off many more risqué stunts which we suggest you leave to the professionals.
